La Digue Suites

I have to admit, I wasn't sure about this place when I booked our stay. The price was good and the reviews were good as well, so I took a chance. We booked the ocean view suite on the top floor and it was a really nice, clean place that we are quite happy that we stayed in. Check in was very easy. We just had to call a certain number on the side of the building and the person who answered, told us what room and that the key was hanging on the inside. Pretty simple. The place was clean and well equipped for what we needed. We were primarily hiking and sight seeing along the coast, so this worked out well. I would highly recommend staying here.

Great location and the staff was very friendly. Room was clean, big, and had great amenities like a kitchen with useful utensils. I was nervous about the murphy bed being uncomfy as I had never slept in one before, but the one they had in this hotel room was extremely comfy :) I also liked the marina and boats nearby - it was a peaceful area!

Cheticamp is a fishing town and not a resort. Yes, the hotel is in front of a marina used by fishermen who fish for work. Quite fascinating. Have a conversation with a few of them and you can learn a few new things. There will be a great sunset view from the property. Our room was clean and comfortable. That’s what we needed. The staff was helpful and available by phone when not on the property. The motel is close to multiple restaurants, cultural sites and even a museum. Check out the history of the town and of the rug making there.

We enjoyed our stay here!! Hosts answered our questions, the place was clean and we loved walking to the water with our morning coffee.

Very clean room and cozy. Great proximity to the water. Room was a bit small but it did have a futon mattress to accommodate extra guess. It also had a coffee maker, microwave, fridge available if I can recalled. It also included Netflix as per programing and free parking on site.

Great little hotel. Very clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay (towels, equipment for cooking, etc.). Check in is a little different than other places, but it was totally fine. We had a very warm welcome! I stayed here with my husband and 2 small children. There is a lovely view of the water and boardwalk with fishing boats. Sitting out on the deck with a cold beer, watching the sun go down was so relaxing. Great location - walking distance to shops & restaurants, 20 min drive from the Skyline trail. Cheticamp is such a beautifu, quaint village. We really enjoyed our time here!

Ocean View suite was spacious and wonderful! Very clean and comfortable. View is lovely. Great location. Highly recommended.

We stayed at a Junior suite for a night. Although the room was small for 4 of us, but it had everything we needed. When we got close to Cheticamp, my younger son was feeling car-sick, so I called the owner and she was so kind and allowed us to check in early. The superintendent was also very nice, she showed us everything and gave us tips of where to go for dinner. The location was great, if you visit Cape Breton. Overall, we had a great stay in the suite!
